Shockingly large villa on a hilltop overlooking the Greve valley (10 rooms!). Internet is quite spotty which allows you to have actual conversations with your teenage children. We really enjoyed our stay. Anna was a wonderful host and reacted quickly whenever there was an issue (we locked ourselves out one night..).

- LICIA & MICKAEL – 2021
I strongly recommend this house. It is full of history and the swimming pool is great for adults and kids.
You can easily go to greve in chianti there are plenty of bars and restaurants and gelaterie and it is close from Florence.
We had a great time and we strongly recommend you to order the homemade supper from Anna.

We had a great stay at the house, it is super spacious, both Terraces have a lovely view over the back country and it is very serene! Signora Anna, who is taking care of the house, was really lovely and took very good care of us (including cooking a massive feast for dinner one evening). If you are looking for a remote place to switch off, this is great.
The furniture and WiFi in the house would need an upgrade though. Otherwise very enjoyable stay!

What a fantastic villa. We had a great time. Lots of room, very quiet. We were close to Greve and Panzano. Anna was wonderful. Would love to return in the future.

In a group of four friends, we had the perfect post-Covid reunion at Villa Petra. We hadn’t seen each other for two years. The pool was refreshing and delightful, we saw fireflies darting around the back garden in the evening and swallows flying low over the roof each morning. Greve in Chianti is five minutes away if you need to pop down for bread, milk or a bottle of Chianti Classico. I’m afraid our voices may have disturbed the nearby neighbors, but other than that, everything was perfect. La Signora Anna (and her team of helpers) made everything extra special thanks to her smile, warmth and good cheer. We miss you already Villa Petra.

- MARK – 2020
There were four of us staying here and thoroughly enjoyed the villa and surrounding area. The villa was spacious, clean, comfortable and really charming. Federico, Marco and Anna were delightful, each of them in their way. Federico speak perfect English, He was very helpful with where to shop, eat and visit wineries before our arrival.

Sitio precioso. La ubicación es excelente.

GWENDOLINE – 2020
The house is very charming, traditional tuscan style. The pool is beautiful and the views are wonderful. Great location close to Greve in Chianti that is a beautiful village! Very quiet area. The only negative point of being in the country side is the very poor access to internet (wifi and 3G) We enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts!! Grazie

An absolutely amazing place. Six of us stayed and were blown away with the house, outdoor area and pool. The outdoor seating area was perfect to watch the sunset every night and the coal BBQ was a great touch. The pool area was great and had 6 sun beds, plus nice grass surrounding the pool. The house is huge with 2 large lounge rooms and a nice dinning room. kitchen has everything you need to cook a big meal, very well equipped. We also got some lovely wine from Marco next door and some lovely pasta sauce from his wife, he also does a great olive oil. Greve in Chianti is less than 10 minutes drive down the hill. All in all an amazing stay, would highly recommend.

- EMIEL – 2019
Villa Petra is a very nice and historical house in a beautiful scenery! The house is very clean, spacious and well equiped. The house got multiple terrace with great views. We also enjoyed the nice big garden with private pool. Anna is a great host (and chefkok) for a nice private diner. We would definately recommend this place. We had a great time at Villa Petra!

- PETER – 2019
Villa Petra is a beautiful villa just outside Greve in Chianti. Our family stayed there for a month. The house is immaculate, and the grounds are pristine. The caretaker, Anna, does not speak English, so be prepared to communicate with her in Italian. Federico and Marco were very quick to answer any questions and were very attentive hosts. The only criticisms I would offer are: 1. The water is non-potable throughout the house.

- STEPHANE – 2018

- MELANIE – 2018
It was exactly what we were hoping for! Anna was our host and contact. She was so lovely and welcoming! We got her to make us dinner on our last night. The pool was wonderful to have for us and the kids. The location was close enough to easily go in To Greve for dinner, but also felt so private and serene. The true Italian experience! We loved it so much and will be back someday!
Ciao,a presto!

- TOM – 2018
This property was absolutely stunning with the views. The house is huge and being the “Young Couple” (57yrs old each) we ended up in the third floor ️ bedroom. A lot of stairs but well worth the stairs. Plenty of windows and being up so high just beautiful. You CAN’T drink the water though do after you go through the six pack of bottles provided you have to buy your own. Not a big deal. The only issue we had was we programmed the address into GPS and it took us right there. But with the house bring do far down from the main road we left thinking we were at the wrong place. There should be signs on the road and also on the building since our house was located in the rear of this large property. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here. You will need a car to get around though. Enjoy

- CARLOS – 2018
Villa Petra is definitely a very nice Villa, the grounds and surroundings are awesome. We were only two couples and the place was too large for us but we did enjoy it. We must mention though that we were sad to see that even though the property was clean and had the basic accommodations, most of the furniture seems rundown and in need of restoration or replacement. It is worth mentioning that the housekeeper, Anna, is an exceptionally warm person, she welcomed us and made herself available for any suggestion or recommendations. Note that you definitely need a car to get to Villa Petra and be able to visit the surrounding areas.

- JAMES – 2017
I can honestly say that the pictures listed online do not do this property justice.
What a charming and stunning house, so much history and such beautiful memories we will always have of our trip to Tuscany.
The property itself has a large amount of character, with large rooms and plenty of space, it is also very well located in the hills overlooking Greave in Chianti.
The views are out of this world looking over the Tuscan valley, it was wonderful to watch the sunrise over the hill close to the local vineyard.
We will back and cannot wait to enjoy this wonderful house once again.

- KATIE – 2017
We had a lovely time and the villa was very interesting and large. The beds were all comfortable. Thank you for the fans we used them! Kitchen was well equipped and had a BBQ outside which was good. Washing machine and dishwasher were good (oven, toaster, microwave and kettle all provided with a well equipped kitchen).
Stunning views and very peaceful location close to Greve (and the Coop!).
Market day is Saturday morning up to 1pm.
Swimming pool clean and a bit chilly but welcome in hot temperatures.
Lots of sitting room space and a TV room. Not suitable for very young children (some drops due to house location – different levels) and people with access difficulties due to the steep staircase but a beautiful house.
Note: we were told not to drink the water from the tap and to buy bottled – perhaps water is from a spring and not the mains. Wasn’t an issue and they left us some bottled water but buy more.
Anna was very pleasant – thank you.
We had a really enjoyable stay.

- BRUCE – 2016
We had a wonderful stay at Federico’s Villa Petra in Greve. The Villa is roomy and historical, set in a very private oasis, a short drive from the quaint Tuscany town of Greve. The rooms are spacious with each of the 4-5 bedrooms having its own bathroom and plenty of room to spread out. The location is ideal for exploring the Chianti region and a welcome, relaxing respite from full days of sightseeing. We took advantage of the in house chef on a couple occasions. Book Villa Petra and you will not be disappointed.

- SARAH – 2016
We spent a week with 7 people in Villa Petra in June. The villa has so much more space than the photos can show. The bedrooms are all big with large ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house was very clean and the housekeeper returned mid-week to do a clean up. The outside space is lovely with a good size pool with grassed area and 2 separate terraces. Greve is close by and has a supermarket and other shops which are very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly.

- MARK – 2016
We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful villa in the Chianti region.
The place is very calm but in the sametime close to the main village: Greve.
Also Florence is just 30 minutes of road.
We couldn’t ask more from our holiday and we already miss Tuscany, Villa Petra and his swimming pool.

- VALENTINA – 2016

- MICHEL – 2014
