Embark with us on a fantastic sailing adventure to discover by feet the incomparable beauty of the Nebrodi Mountains and catch in your viewfinder the special panoramas of the Aeolian Islands.

The proposed experience is articulated in three days in the territory of the Nebrodi, the mountain range overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, and four days sailing in the Aeolian Islands, an archipelago consisting of seven islands.

Day 1
Portorosa

Transfer from Palermo or Catania to the Port of Portorosa, welcome drink on board and meeting with the crew. Shore excursion to visit Villa Piccolo and its park, which houses the museum, run by the Family Foundation Small Calanovella, opened in 1978. Inside are preserved portion of goods that belonged to the family: works of art, paintings, ceramics , antique weapons, books, prints, documents, and there are the autograph letters of his cousin Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. Along with paintings, there are also photographs: shots that reveal the artistic mastery of Baron Small Calanovella and that can be divided, in turn, in family portraits, rural life fragments, portions of the garden with butterflies and beetles , and those relating to “modernity” advances. Tasting of local products or alternatively Dessert / ice cream or granita of Capo d’Orlando in renowned venues.

Day 2
Nebrodi Park
Shore excursion to visit a portion of Nebrodi Park, very significant and interesting is the “valley of the Fitalia territory”, the “Adventure Park Longi” and the waterfall Catafurco of Galati Mamertino. Travel distance on foot about 1 hour; low difficulty. During the excursion a lunch with typical products of the territory will be served. Reboarding the boat and a free evening to visit the town.

Alcara Li Fusi
After breakfast on board, excursion to Alcara Li Fusi and birdwatching activities at the Fortresses of the Crasto to observe the Golden Eagles and the Griffons, a recently reintroduced species of vulture. Visit to “Tana delle idee”, a didactical and enviroment and environment oriented laboratory, then an overview of the area to admire the wooded areas of the Nebrodi Mountains. Lunch in a typical Agriturismo.

4
Salina day 1
After breakfast sailing to Salina admiring the bays and natural arched rock formations with a stop for a swim. Then up Punta Megna for a bit of trekking to visit the romantic paths and breathtaking views of Salina from above. The ascent takes about one hour and at the end a cooking lesson await us. We will learn how to put together a famous salad in Salina, with dried tomatoes and other erbs and ingredients that we will be able to pluck and select ourselves directly from the garden. Our lunch will be the final product of this fun cooking experience. Afterwards we will return to the boat and spend the night in the island. The next day a new fun adventure in Salina will make for an exciting prospect.

Salina day 2
After breakfast and a swim we will set for an excursion to the island Santuario, it will be an easy ascent and provide great occasion to catch the local flora and fauna in your viewfinder. Then we will visit the Fenech wineries for a taste of Malvasia and authentic wines produced from local grapes.

6
Stromboli
After breakfast sailing along the northern coast of the island of Panarea for a stop in Strombolicchio and then up to Stromboli and the small islands and reefs of Basiluzzo, Dattilo and Lisca Bianca, where you can swim and relax in unique locations with underwater gaysers. Lunch on board. Then we sail to the island of Stromboli to admire the volcanic eruption of the Sciara del Fuoco and the small village of Ginostra where we will spend the night at anchor. During our time in Stromboli there is the possibility of an optional excursion on the volcano crater summit (918 m. Above sea level) by following, with experienced guides, the “Path of St. Vincent.” The ascent is of about 2 hours, and 30 are provided stops every 30-40 minutes. Before sunset you will arrive at the top to see the crater explosions, a stop on top of the crater for about an hour and then back to base in about an hour and a half as the descent is always quicker way down! Then back to Portorosa for the night.

Breackfast on board. Disembarking by 9 AM and transfer back to the airport.
